What does the name id couture mean?

 

id couture name comes from two very different yet complementary words that combined describe what kind of styling service we like to provide.

id According to Freud’s psychoanalytic theory of personality, the id is the personality component made up of unconscious psychic energy that works to satisfy basic urges, needs, and desires.

The concept behind the name is to link bespoke styling service to meets the personality needs of our clients.

In short, we here at id couture see ourselves as Styleologists, providing an exceptional styling service custom made to each clients’ requirements. Styleology is a term coined to express the science of style and the positive impact it has on confidence and empowerment.

Styling for everyone
We believe styling service is inclusive for everyone and should be accessible to anyone. As personal stylists what we love the best is seeing instant lift in our clients’ self esteem and wellbeing after each session or what we like to call the ‘AHA’ moment. A style session can be life changing and that is why we do what we do.

Connecting stylists to clients
With over a decade in the styling industry, Lead Styleologist Tanja launched id couture style consultancy in Australia 2006 and in 2013 has expanded internationally to London. Personal Brand, Style and Confidence

The aim of our service is to connect shoppers to retailers and brands by showing them how to shop to best suit their needs whether this is in store or online.

How to style
Our method is to simply to apply and share our styling skills and improve the way people see, style and select product. We demonstrate this through; style sessions, styling workshops, personal styling presentations, seasonal fashion launches, runways, trend talks, campaign activations and style events.
