Current Crave: Reverse Contouring

Contouring has been a beauty secret of many celebrities for many years and most of us can’t imagine what we were doing before highlighting and contouring. However, if your like myself and prefer your make up a little more ‘low key’ I would recommend trying a little something known as reverse contouring or strobing.

You might be asking yourself what this is?

Reverse contouring is the complete opposite of what you are supposed to do when contouring, so basically putting bronzer on all high points of your face, where the sun would naturally hit! The best way to do this I find is to use a bronzer that has a somewhat glow to it, as this helps accentuate cheekbones and give you that sun kissed look – just in time for summer!

Personally I find Natio’s – Mineral Pressed Powder Bronzer $19.95, in Sunswept does the trick as it suits every skintone and doesn’t leave that glitter effect like most bronzers do!

If you want to add a little more dimension to your face and leave that more chiseled look for your cheeks, a handy tip is to pop on a little bit of blush onto the apples of your cheeks!

Then voila! You have perfected the reverse contour!
