London Fashion Week AW17 Round Up

London Fashion Week, one of the most anticipated events in the fashion industry has sadly been and gone, but fear not, we are here with a round up from the week with the trends you can expect to be seeing this season. From colour blocking to monochrome take a look at what will be recreated on the British streets in the coming months.

The return of the Croc

Christopher Kane has bravely bought back the Croc, and gallantly pared with frocks from his ‘SPACE Collection’, sheer lace ensembles and oversized outerwear inspired by lab coats.

Twinning Colours

The days of clashing are long gone and the complimentary colour blocking is here. Roksanda has paired the colours beautifully creating understated colour blocks, where as Mulberry, equally striking has teamed dominant colours you wouldn’t think would work but proving us oh so wrong.

Velvet

Velvet is not going anywhere, it’s stuck around for the following season and how beautiful is Mary Katrantzou collection. In collaboration with Disney and the Magic Kingdom, Katrantzou has based her Autumn show around Walt Disney’s feature film Fantasia, stepping into the fantastical world of imaginations and dreams.

Monochrome

Clean, crisp and sharp. Black and white prevailed on the runway during the Burberry AW 17 show. Coinciding with Henry Moore’s art exhibition, Burberry 17 juxtaposed the floral prints from Burberry 16’s show and made a bold statement with a clean colour palette. In our opinion with this fresh colour palette, spring can’t come soon enough!
